Terms of use
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms govern your use of GameCalendar, a free calendar of video game releases, showcases and news, run by [Operator name], [Postal address] ("we"). By using the site you accept them; by creating an account you agree to them. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy policy.
Who can use GameCalendar
Anyone can browse the site. To create an account you must be at least 16 years old.
Your account
- Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- An account is for one person. If you sign in with Google, Discord, Steam or Twitch, that service's own terms apply to your account there.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. It is removed 30 days later unless you sign in again before then.
What you publish
Your profile name, username, avatar, logos and tier lists stay yours. So that we can run the site, you allow us to store, copy and show them, and to make the share images built from them, worldwide and free of charge, for as long as they are on the site. Things you keep private are shown only to you; public ones are shown to anyone. You confirm that you have the right to publish what you upload.
Rules
Don't use GameCalendar to:
- publish anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
- harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or publish hateful content;
- publish sexual content or spam;
- scrape the site in bulk, overload it, probe its security or get around its limits;
- run more than one account to get around a restriction we placed on you.
Reports and moderation
To report content you believe is illegal or breaks these rules, write to [email protected]. Please include:
- the exact address (URL) of the content;
- why you believe it is illegal or breaks these rules;
- your name and email address (not needed for reports of child sexual abuse material);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete.
We confirm receipt, review every report by hand and tell you what we decided. No automated system removes content or restricts accounts. If we remove or hide your content, or suspend or close your account, we tell you which rule or law it concerns, why we decided as we did, and how to challenge the decision: reply to us, and you can always go to court. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' rights.
Our single point of contact for users and for authorities, including under the EU Digital Services Act, is [email protected]. We answer in English and German. Our legal representative in the EU is [EU representative: name and address].
Data from other services
- Game details come from IGDB, Steam, YouTube and the publishers' own announcements. Release dates change often; we show them as we have them and can't promise they are complete or correct.
- Steam data is provided "as is", without any warranty, and Valve and we accept no liability for it beyond what the law requires.
- GameCalendar uses YouTube API Services. By using GameCalendar you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Names, trademarks and ownership
The site's design, text and code belong to us. Game names, artwork, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. GameCalendar is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, Steam, Twitch, IGDB, Google, YouTube, Discord, Blizzard Entertainment or any game publisher.
Changes to the site
GameCalendar is free. We may add, change or remove features, and the site may sometimes be unavailable.
Liability
We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow a limit. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach a duty that is essential to the service, and then only for the damage typically foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Ending your use
You can stop using GameCalendar and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, and we tell you why as described above.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will announce it on the site at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then; if you keep using the account after that date, the new terms apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [Operator's country]. If you use GameCalendar as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
