Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse the calendar, game pages and news without one. An account lets you follow games, franchises and companies, keep a watchlist and wishlist, build tier lists and get alerts.
How do alerts work?
Follow a game, franchise or company and we tell you when a release date changes, a game comes out, a trailer drops, an event goes live or a game goes on sale. Alerts appear under the bell on the site, and as push notifications if you turn them on in Settings → Notifications. We never send them by email.
Where do the release dates come from?
From IGDB and the Steam store, synced every day. Publishers move dates often: when one changes, the calendar shows the new date and everyone following the game gets an alert.
Can I import my Steam wishlist and library?
Yes. Connect Steam in Settings → Connections, then choose “Import from Steam”. Your wishlist joins your wishlist and watchlist, and your library joins My games. Steam only shares lists that are public, so set Game details to Public in your Steam privacy settings first.
Is GameCalendar free?
Yes. It shows no ads and we don't sell your data.
How do I download or delete my data?
Download your data in Settings → Account. You can delete your account there too: it is removed 30 days later, and signing in before then cancels the deletion.
A game is missing or has wrong details. What can I do?
Tell us through the feedback form: Send feedback. It needs an account; without one, write to [email protected]. Made the game yourself? Go to For game developers: studios send their game there, no account needed.
